Quli Qutub Shah was the first urdu poet to own a "Deewan" of his poetry. In past days, the title of First Urdu Poet having "Deewan" was being awarded to Wali Dakni (just because of people having no research). Because of old language and difficult words used by Quli Qutub Shah, a common reader cannot understand his poetry.
Quli Qutub Shah was fond of construction of buildings. It is very popular that Quli Qutub shah married his love "Bagmati" and gave her the title of "Hyder Mahal". And he changed the name of a city from "Bagmati Nagar" to "Hyderabad".
Due to heavy drinking of alcohol Quli Qutub Shah died at the age of 46 years in 1611 B.C.
